Notices blog

This week we are looking at the parable of the talents, it's one of those passages where we are spoilt for choice as to the message. It will have meant one thing to it's original listeners and it can be a range of things to you and I. It all depends on where we are today and where we are in our Christian journey. There are messages of encouragement, a message to take chances for the sake of others, a reminder as to who owns the fruits of our labours and more besides. Well we will explore all of that during the video. As an extra encouragement to watch we have a brilliant Sketch from Denise and her family and I must say a big thank you to them. it's not easy to get the puppets in action at home but they have done a fab job. Also a massive thank you to Helen for leading our musical worship. My offer to sing while you play still stands :-) (Lyrics are at the bottom of this email if you want to sing along!).

I am sure many of us have also had plans change in the last few weeks, lockdown has brought an abrupt end to many ideas of social gathering. We had been planning to attend a 65th birthday party this weekend (I won't embarrass my mum by mentioning her by name). You will, I am sure have had your own plans that have now changed. The Church had planned to regather in person on November 29th, sadly that cannot be, but more details below on what we are planning next. Although we can not meet in person we can meet here on-line and in that we are blessed. There are some who do not have that blessing.

The Carhart household has been a hive of activity this weekend, we have been busy recording and editing on Saturday while the children have built new structures in minecraft. Beth has been delivering presents around the house from a cardboard box, and Josh has been doing lots of homework. Next week there is some fun lined up for Josh as the school have their bikeabiltiy week, so bike's to school!

Please do read on for details of the re-opening.

With our love!
Jon, Helen, Josh and Beth
